| Eligibility: |
B.Sc Graduate, B.Sc Nursing, B.Sc
Nutrition or Equivalent.
This course is intended to train those who
would assist doctors in their clinic to counsel
patients about diet, initiate insulin therapy, provide
psychological support, etc., on an individual basis
and also conduct group education sessions on
diabetes to patients and their relatives. |

| Medical Informatics
|

| Eligibility: |
Medicine or Engineering / IT
graduates are preferred. Candidates with B.Sc.
degree in any biological science, physics, mathematics,
chemistry can also apply.
The course content will be mainly the same as detailed in M.Sc. Medical Informatics. However, the
course duration is only one year. |

| PG Diploma in Clinical Research
|
This is a specially designed program to provide theoretical and practical training in coordinating clinical trials and clinical research efforts. The one-year diploma course will involve lecture components on key aspects on clinical research: namely, Statistical design and analysis, ICH/GCP Guidelines, Study design, Data management, Pre-clinical drug development strategies and methodologies, ethical aspects, legal and regulatory aspects of clinical trials, and some exposure to allied health sciences such as pharmacology, biochemistry and physiology. The course offers practical training in data entry and statistical analysis of data using statistical softwares SAS and SPSS. The unique aspect of this course is direct involvement with ongoing clinical research programs and an opportunity to manage and coordinate an existing clinical trail research project under the direct guidance of the Principal Investigator.Many clinical trials are going on at the Institute, most of which are sponsored by International Pharmaceutical concerns and agencies. All students will therefore have ample opportunity to get directly trained in conducting and managing clinical trials .Each student will have to write a project report based on the knowledge,exposure and experience on the on-going clinical trials. They also have to make presentations in Seminars and Journal clubs on the topics which have been discussed in the classes.In short, each student,soon after the successful completion of the course, will be ready to be absorbed as a clinical research coordinator/associate or project assistant in pharmaceutical companies / research institutions |
