Nursing Education and Administration are
subjects placed in the fourth year of the
nursing programme. Nursing education deals with
philosophies, theories, principles and methods of
teaching, teaching-learning process and curriculum
development. The aim of this course is to equip the
students with the basic skills in the art of teaching in
nursing education including supervised teaching
practice in classrooms and clinical settings. Nursing
administration focuses on the concept, principles
and functions of administration and its application
to nursing service and nursing education. This is
aimed at preparing the students to shoulder administrative
responsibilities in both clinical nursing as
well as nursing educational.
