Fellowship training in Traumatology - Excellent opportunity for the young Orthopaedic Surgeons to excel in Trauma case

Duration:One year
Number of Seats: 3 vacant positions are there at present for immediate appointment
Eligibility: Opportunity for post graduate qualified Orthopaedic surgeons to excel themselves in state of the art trauma care. Training will cover the basic trauma management ( Eg:- Conservative as well as all intramedullay and extramedullary fixations) to advanced management of all complex and complicated trauma ( Eg:- Pelvi acetabular fixations, Polytrauma , Minimally invasive surgery ,Ilizarov  etc). The fellow will have to take active participation in emergency room and outpatient management of orthopaedic patients. Also they will be incorporated in to the teaching, research  and other routine academic activities of the department. They will have ample opportunity for research work and to present papers.
They will be eligible for a consolidated amount of Rs. 20,000/- per month as stipend.

Fellowship in Spine Surgery
Duration: 06 or 12 Months
Number of Seats: 4 candidates per year
Date of Commencement: Jan - July
Eligibility: The ideal candidate should be 2 years Post MCh Neurosurgery or MS/DNB in Orthopaedics and less than 40 years of age. Candidates should have a definite interest in the specialty chosen and preferably have publications/presentations in the area. Candidates should also have some basic experience in the discipline and preferably be sponsored by a parent institute to utilize the training effectively.


Fellowship in Joint Replacement
Duration: 12 Months
Number of Seats: 2 candidates per year
Date of Commencement: Jan - July
Eligibility: The ideal candidate should be 2 years after MS Orth/Dip NB Orth and less than 40 years of age. Candidates should have a definite interest in the specialty chosen and preferably have publications/presentations in the area. Candidates should also have some basic experience in the discipline and preferably be sponsored by a parent institute to utilize the training effectively.
