1. Advanced and sophisticated treatment facility at AIMS for all kinds of cases of poisoning (due to chemicals, drugs, plant products, animal bites or stings, food poisons, drug abuse, etc.). Such cases can be brought directly or referred by any doctor or hospital from elsewhere.

Instant access to detailed information on poisons and poisoning through telephone, e-mail, postal mail, personal contact, etc. The department utilizes state-of-the-art software packages, POISINDEX and TOXINZ from the USA and New Zealand respectively which together has information on more than 800,000 poisonous substances encountered world-wide. In addition, the department also has free access to INTOX with kind courtesy of the World Health Organization.
