The division of Congenital Heart Surgery is a very busy division, doing around 700 congenital heart procedures of all varieties and complexities comprising more or less the whole spectrum. Neonatal, infant, and redo open-heart surgeries are commonplace. This division of AIMS has some of the best results reported from India.

With a dedicated Pediatric & Congenital Heart surgery &, a vibrant Pediatric Cardiology team and with outstanding anesthesia and perfusion support, a junior surgeon could get all round training in all aspects of Congenital Heart surgery, and post operative care.

The surgical experience gained by junior surgeons, include assisting all forms of surgeries, and performing under supervision procedures according to the capability and confidence enjoyed by them vis a vis the senior surgeons.
