27 - 30 December, 2006 - The Amrita School of Medicine is hosting the 54th National Conference of the Anatomical Society of India including a pre-conference CME. The CME on 27-12-06 will focus on interesting aspects of Clinical Anatomy.

The Scientific programme of the conference will address the following areas:

Please write your name and address on the reverse of the demand draft. All the life members, ordinary members and post graduate students of Anatomy are eligible to register as delegates. Membership of ASI is mandatory. If you are not already a member of ASI, please contact: Dr. Ashok Sahai, Treasurer of ASI/ Dr. G.S. Longia, Gen. Secretaries.

              Instructions for Abstracts

Abstracts should be sent to the Organising Secretary only. Abstracts must be typed with single spacing on bond paper and should be limited to 250 words only.

Abstracts should be computer - typed as they will be directly incorporated into the abstract booklet. The abstract should include the title, name of author/s, Institution, gist of the study in brief and must fit in a space of 4.5"x7.5".

Last date for submission of abstracts is 15.9.06

Original & three xerox copies of the abstracts have to be submitted. The title should be typed in bold font leaving 10 spaces from the left margin and the first letter of each word of the title should be in capital.

The title and author’s name (s) should be in block letters and the name of the presenting author should be underlined.

Abstracts should contain aim of the study, materials and methods, results and conclusions.

Time allotted for oral presentation is 7 minutes with an additional 3 minutes for\ discussion. Audio-visual aids like Slide Projector, Overhead projector, and L.C.D projector will be provided at the venue. For L.C.D presentation please make sure to bring only CD’s.

A complete mailing address of the author presenting the paper should be provided mentioning the department and Institute along with telephone number and e-mail ID.

Abstracts will be accepted only if the presenting author is a valid member of the A.S.I. and has also remitted the registration fee of this conference.

If you are not a valid member of A.S.I. then pay the membership fee (Rs. 400/- for single membership & Rs. 700/- for couple membership) to:

The Scientific Committee reserves the right to select the papers for oral presentation or poster presentation. The details about your paper acceptance can be viewed from http://www.amrita.edu or http://www.aimshospital.org by 15th November, 2006 . Your accommodation details can be viewed in the above web site by first week of December 2006.

              Poster Presentation
The author should be a valid member of A.S.I. and should have remitted the registration fee of this Conference. Presenting posters should be numbered and arranged in sequence and should be mounted in the available area of 22”(vertical) x 32” (horizontal). Posters should be fixed one hour before the poster session. Author(s) should be present throughout the poster session for any discussion.
