INTERVIEW DECEMBER 5, 2006

Francis

Erinilure, Trissur

I worked at a tile factory as a molder for until the factory shut down. Now we have 3 goats, and we manage with the income from these. We have 2 sons and one daughter. One son is drives a rickshaw and helps support us also. Our other son had a fever when he was one year old, and since then he is physically and mentally handicapped. We are very worried about his future. I want to bring this child to Amma.

Two years ago, my chest pain started. The hospital in Trissure referred to me to Kozikode. The cost was not affordable. We only took medicines because we could not afford the surgery. A friend told us about AIMS. Before that we had seen Amma on TV and felt that she must be very amazing and wonderful the way she helps so many and gives love to all.

If Amma would not have helped me, I would have died. We have had a life of suffering. This is the first time in my adult life I have been happy.

Sorry, I am not getting any words to say because I am crying.
