Super Star Express, The mobile promotional coach of Amrita TV reached AIMS on the 4ht of July. "Super Star" was the first reality show in Malayalam television history and was a run away hit. The talent hunt show discovered many music jewels.
Amrita TV will be launching Super Star 2, the sequel of the first on the 20th of July, 2009. As a prelude to the show, Amrita TV launched this promotional coach that will be travelling to different parts of Kerala.
All the singers were given a warm welcome. Anand, Latha and Nitheesh led the show. They sang many popular songs for the students and staff, whose enthusiasm was overwhelming as they clapped and danced to the rhythm of their favourite tunes. Many students and staff also participated in the audition conducted on the stage.
DENTAL STUDENTS GOT OVERALL CHAMPIANSHIP
The Dental students got the overall championship in stage events and second overall in total (onstage and off stage) events held at the all Kerala Interdental students fest held Thunchanparambu, Tirur on May 31st. 10 Dental Colleges from various parts of Kerala participated in the event. 70 students from our Dental school participated in the event
FAREWELL FUNCTION OF FIRST BATCH BScMRT STUDENTS
The farewell function of BSc MRT 2005 batch held on 25th May 2009 in Amriteswari Hall. The function was inaugurated by Dr.Prem Nair, Medical Director, AIMS. Dr. Bhaskaran K.Pillai, prof.and head of department of Medical Physics and Radiation Safety, gave presidential address. Dr.Prathapan Nair, Principal of Amrita School of Medicine also addressed the function. Dr.P.R. Sasindran, Professor, Department of Radiation Oncology, Dr.Sreekanth Moorthy, Professor and Head of the radiology, gave felicitation. Dr.T.K. Padmanabhan, Professor and Head of Radiation Oncology also attended the function. Cultural programes of the students were also conducted.
